Accounting 11 –Communication Plan

Overview of Course:

Accounting 11 is based on the following units of study:

 

  1. Financial Position

  2. Business Transactions

  3. Recording Transactions in T-Accounts

  4. Preparing the Income Statement

  5. Revenue & Expense Accounts

  6. The Journal

  7. Posting to the Journal

  8. Source Documents

  9. The Work Sheet

*If time allows ~ Unit 10. Classified Financial Statements

Expectations:

  • Student participation and involvement in classroom discussions and activities are necessary to maximize the learning process.

  • Attendance is a key factor in determining the level of success a student will achieve in Accounting 11. Students are responsible for all missed work. Students will have one week to hand in assignments (unless otherwise stated).  

  • Study Guide ~ to be completed independently, during class time (guides & texts are to remain in the classroom). It will be collected and assessed throughout the course.

  • Missed tests will be written on the first day the student returns following the test (providing that the absence has been excused).  After one week, the assignment/test will receive a mark of zero.  I reserve the right to make changes to missed tests.

  • Google Classroom ~ Students are expected to check the Accounting 11 Google Classroom frequently ~ this will assist them in keeping up-to-date on their work at all times.

Communication:
