Tuesday, May 31 Presentation - Drug Recognition - Sydney Academy Little Theatre. 1:00 - 2:50 p.m. Potential Grads only. Amazing Race - Sydney Academy. 6:00 p.m. Admission: $5.00 per team. Wednesday, June 1 Presentation - Fatal Vision Golf Carts - Sydney Academy Gymnasium. Time: 1:00- 2:50 p.m. Potential Grads only. Grad Barbeque, Painting of Hands, Tour of SA - Sydney Academy cafeteria. Time: 6:00 p.m. Admission: free. Thursday, June 2 Hello-Goodbye Dance - Sydney Academy Gymnasium. Time 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. Admission: $5.00 per person. Sunday, June 5 Grand March Practice - Sydney Academy Gymnasium. 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Week of June 13 FINAL EXAMINATIONS BEGIN Monday, June 13 Grand March Practice - Centre 200. 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 Grand March Practice - Centre 200. 3:00 p.m. BBQ for participating students to follow at the Sydney Academy cafeteria. Thursday, June 23 Grand March - Centre 200 at 7:30 p.m. Graduates are requested to be present at 6:45 p.m. Prom - Immediately following the Grand March. Ends at 11:00 p.m. Safe Grad Party - Cape Breton University. Students should be ready to board the buses by midnight. Students will return by bus to Centre 200 at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning. Friday, June 24 Grad tickets and Caps and gowns available all day at the school. Sunday, June 26 Ecumenical Service Christ Church, Trinity Avenue. Time: 2:00 p.m. Graduates will wear gowns (not caps). Graduates are requested to meet at the Church Hall by 1:30 p.m. Graduation tea to follow in the Sydney Academy Cafeteria. Parent(s)/guardian(s), family, and guests are welcome. Wednesday, June 29 Graduation Exercises - Sydney Academy Gymnasium - 7:00 p.m. Graduates are requested to be present by 6:30 p.m. Parents, guardians, family, and friends of graduates may attend. The school will provide up to four (4) tickets per graduating student. Students may request additional tickets when when picking up their initial ticket package. Requests for additional tickets will be filled on an equitable basis. Graduation package, including report card and transcripts, will be given to students immediately following the graduation ceremony when gowns are returned.
