Integrated Resource Program
The Integrated Resource Program at Sydney Academy, a three year regimen of studies, is open to special needs students leaving junior high school. With inclusion as its central philosophy, the Integrated Resource Program requires a total of 18 credits for graduation. Each course is tailored to individual students' strengths and needs. There is in-class study combined with community integration and intervention for transitioning beyond high school, active citizenship, and independent living. Appropriate course selection, volunteer work placement, and community service projects are essential components designed to enhance personal development, functional literacy, and career potential.
