Introduction
At Sydney Academy, through individual timetables, students are given greater responsibility in selecting courses that meet their needs, interests, abilities, and post-secondary plans. There are several important educational advantages to individual timetabling:
  1. Students may choose subjects in which they have interest and aptitude, and they may take subjects at the level from which they will derive the greatest benefit.

  2. Students who fail subjects need repeat only those subjects or may drop the subject altogether and substitute another one.

  3. The wide variety of subjects provides a flexibility that should meet the needs of all students and thus reduce the problem of multiple failures in a rigid curriculum.
