The Guidance Office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Appointments at other times are welcome when regular office hours are not suitable.
There is an abundance of resource information available in the Guidance Office related to post secondary institutions as well as career options. Students should take the initiative to view this material throughout all their high school years.
Services provided by the Guidance Office include:
- Individual and small group counseling and referrals to special agencies when necessary.
- Assistance in choosing the necessary courses required by the Nova Scotia Department of Education in order to obtain a high school diploma. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure they take the compulsory courses for graduation.
- Assistance in filling out applications for post secondary institutions.
- Providing information on writing resumes and preparing for employment or university interviews.
- Providing information on bursaries and scholarships for students planning to pursue post secondary education.
The Guidance Office has a computer available for online registration, student loan inquiries, and career and university information.
