In 1947, members of the Sydney Academy Student Assembly published a book in memory of former Sydney Academy students who lost their lives in World War Two. Editors of this book were Jack Wilcox (class of 46) and Donald Trivett (class of 1947). Listed below are names of the men who were listed in this book.

Over the years, the booklet has been an invaluable resource for countless researchers and writers and has been reprinted many times. In 2002 it was incorporated into a Department of Veterans Affairs project called the Virtual War Memorial. The photographs and text from the booklet were scanned onto the Virtual War Memorial website (VWM).
Sydney Academy is continuing the legacy of this booklet. It is currently being used in our annual Sydney Academy Remembrance Day Services. Current students of Sydney Academy remind the student body of the former students who gave their lives at war. Due to technology advances, we are now able to show slideshows and pictures like these of the fallen heros in a power point presentation while the students speak.
We would like to thank all the people who have contributed to the book, especially the editors Jack Wilcox and Donald Trivett, and also to Floyd Williston who has contributed information to this website. If you would like to honour a fallen hero, you can send along any pictures or information to the Sydney Academy Alumni Association and we will be sure to add it to our page. If you would like to add some information to one of the names already listed, you can also send along that information or if you would just like to have a nice comment or memory of the person posted, you may send that to the same address. Also, be sure to view our Memorial page to pay homage to former Sydney Academy Students whom have also passed away over the years.
